Parkgate Mobility has been successfully trading since the early 1970’s quickly establishing itself as one of the leading retailers of mobility and self help equipment in the country.

From a single branch the company quickly developed growing in size and reputation and is now one of the largest retailers in the country. Originally each outlet was named after the town it was located with each outlet employing local staff. The companies close relationship with Meadowhall lead to a rebrand and now all branches carry the same Parkgate Mobility name. The emphasis however still remains the same a friendly local company offering excellent service, employing expert local knowledge, giving a quick turnaround on repairs and deliveries.

We currently have nine retail outlets in the area, a dedicated workshop and centralized warehousing. The last few years have been spent consolidating the business putting the infrastructure in place that will allow us to expand. The future is currently looking good and we are all excited about the opening of our brand new Wakefield showroom with another two outlets planned to open in the coming months.

All of our shops offer outside the door parking and easy access, the emphasis being on customer service. Each shop is fully stocked with a large range of the latest mobility and self help products with fully trained staff on hand to provide help and advice where required. Parkgate Mobility is backed by most major suppliers so quality and choice is always assured.

Two highlights for 2012 include sponsoring the Park to Park bike ride for Bluebell Wood money is still coming in but we are expected to raise in excess of £10,000 for this worthy cause. The second highlight was winning the prestigious Motability “commended award” for excellent customer service for the second year running.

Always working within and supporting the local community Parkgate Mobility sponsor local charities and Shopmobility schemes, providing mobility scooters and wheelchairs to local hospitals and local country parks for free use by visitors. Currently working with Meadowhall to ensure free scooters and wheelchairs are available to shoppers.
