Start with the tyres. Sixteen-inch air-filled tyres, not the small solid wheels you see on lighter scooters. These absorb uneven ground, gravel paths, dropped kerbs, and the kind of surface that would stop another scooter dead. Combined with a 10-degree climbing capacity, this machine handles inclines that most class 3 scooters simply can’t manage, which means that a slope is no longer a reason to plan a different route.

The motor runs at 1000W and pushes you to a maximum of 8mph (13km/h). On a mobility scooter, that’s the legal road speed limit, which means you’re not crawling along the pavement hoping people step aside. You’re moving at a pace that feels normal. That matters more than people admit until they’ve experienced the alternative.

The real headline, though, is the 91.5Ah LiFePO4 battery. In this class of scooter, battery capacity is often where manufacturers cut corners. Excel didn’t. That battery delivers a range of up to 65km (40 miles) on a single charge, which means you can go out in the morning and not spend the afternoon watching the battery indicator. It charges through a 24V 12Ah smart charger, so you’re not waiting all night to top it up either.

The weight capacity is 180kg (28.3 stone). For many customers, that number is what opens the door. It’s not just about weight. It’s about stability, build quality, and the confidence that the machine underneath you was designed for a real person, not a brochure.

The seat is 48cm (19in) wide and 47cm (18.5in) deep, with a height of 54cm (21in) from the ground. This is a scooter where you can sit properly for an hour without shifting around. Total weight including battery is 138kg (21.7 stone), and at 143cm (56in) long and 67.5cm (26.5in) wide, it handles like a machine built with purpose rather than compromise.
