By using our website and engaging with our retail, repair, and service environments, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

Data Controller

Parkgate Mobility is the Data Controller, which means we determine the purposes and methods of processing your personal data. We are committed to complying with applicable data protection laws and ensuring the lawful and secure use of your personal data.

Information Collection

When you make a purchase in-store or online, arrange a repair or annual service, we securely store your name, address, email, and contact number in our dedicated business software at our Head Office in Rotherham.

If you claim VAT exemption when purchasing a product, we may collect additional information such as a signature and the nature of your health condition, as required by HMRC. Your personal details are not shared with any other company without your consent, unless legally obligated to do so. Signatures are kept securely in paper form and not stored digitally. If you choose not to provide your name, address, and signature, VAT will be charged on your purchase.

If you have a lease agreement with Motability Operations Ltd and Parkgate Mobility is your allocated repair contact, we may share information with Motability Operations Ltd to facilitate timely repairs.

If you have an insurance policy or warranty with Mark Bates Ltd (Premier Care) and purchased the equipment from us, we may need to discuss your policy with them.

Telephone Calls

We reserve the right to record telephone calls for training and monitoring purposes. Call details are logged on a secure system to improve our customer service and address any customer concerns.

If you purchase certain products, our customer service team may contact you to inquire about your experience. Additionally, if you purchase a mobility scooter, powered wheelchair, wheelchair, or stairlift, we will contact you towards the end of the first anniversary of your purchase to remind you of the equipment’s servicing. You will be given the option to receive such contact from us. For existing customers predating GDPR regulations, we will confirm your consent to continue receiving these calls during our first contact.

Website Contact

When you contact us through our website, using the contact form or sending an email, the information is securely delivered to our website administrator at our head office. Some queries may be forwarded to other departments within our company. We do not share the information in these emails with other companies unless legally required. We retain these emails on our server for as long as necessary to address your query.

Online Purchases

For online purchases, we collect your name, address, telephone number, and email address to facilitate delivery and provide order updates. Our payments are processed by Sagepay, a third-party service based in the UK. We do not store any payment information on our servers. You can review Sagepay’s privacy policy for more information.
