 Mag-Lite

Here’s what most people don’t realise until they try to lift their scooter into a car. Weight is everything. And most scooters, however good they look on paper, are simply too heavy to be genuinely practical day to day.

The Mag-Lite was built to solve that exact problem.

Magnesium alloy is the material of choice here, not as a selling point but as an engineering decision. It gives you a frame and wheels that are structurally strong, genuinely durable, and light enough that at 14.7 kg total, most people can lift this without a second thought. Into the car. Out of the car. Up to the flat. No drama.

What this really means is freedom that travels with you, not freedom that stays in the garage because getting it out is too much effort.

Speed tops out at 4 mph, which is the legal Class 2 limit for pavements and pedestrian areas. Practically speaking, that’s a brisk walking pace. Enough to keep up, to feel present, to actually get somewhere. The standard 10Ah lithium battery gives you a range of 6.2 miles. Step up to the optional 20Ah battery pack and you’re looking at 12.4 miles on a single charge. That covers a full morning out, a market visit, a riverside walk, a hospital appointment, and still have something in reserve.

Controls are intuitive. You won’t need a manual. LED lights at the front, reflectors at the rear. Off-board charging means you don’t need to drag the whole scooter to a socket. The cushioned seat handles a 19.5 stone user weight comfortably, and the adjustable armrests mean the scooter fits you, not the other way round.

At 40 inches long and 17 inches wide, it moves through tight spaces well. Shops, corridors, busy pavements. And if you want to add a basket or extra storage, the accessories are there for it.

The people who come in and try this scooter are often the ones who have been putting off getting one because they didn’t want something that felt like a compromise. The Mag-Lite doesn’t feel like a compromise. It feels like the right answer.

The best way to know that for yourself is to come in and try it.
